Martin Management Group is seeking an Accountant to join our corporate office. The Accountant is responsible for multiple account reconciliations, overseeing and assisting payroll clerk in processing payrolls, reporting on overage vehicles for each dealership and learning all accounting & payroll functions in a dealership. This position is intended to be training for a dealership controller position. Must present a professional appearance.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Reconcile bank, floorplan and manufacturer payable accounts for dealership.
  • Oversee and assist payroll clerk with processing of dealership payrolls and reports
  • Create semi-monthly reports on overage vehicle inventories
  • Update intranet sales and financial data bases for forecast and historical information
  • Accumulate and track receipt of monthly reports due from controllers
  • Assist Corporate Controller and Executive Administrative Assistant as time permits
  • Assist VP of Support Operations with special projects
  • Become proficient in use of Paylocity payroll/HR system
  • Become proficient on use of DealerTrack Management System for all dealership office functions
  • Learn all accounting duties and functions of a dealership office by working all office positions at the Martin Autoplex. This training to be coordinated with the controller at the autoplex.
  • Complete all training as directed by supervisor.
  • Follow policies and procedures as set forth in Personnel Policy Manual.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field or relative experience
